Addison Elizabeth

Yup...she has a name...Baby Burke #2 can now officially be called Addison Elizabeth. We assume we will call her Addi for short :o) McKenna can say Addison pretty well and does call her by name. I love it! I love praying for Addison by name now and feeling a deeper sense of connection to her.

We have been continuing our preparations for Miss Addi to arrive...slowly, but surely! Her room is put together and closet is somewhat organized. The drawers are cleared out of anything that belonged to McKenna and just need to have little, tiny clothes put back into them :o) I have yet to wash anything or iron anything, but everything is in her room!

Dave did a beautiful job on Addi's room. He is SUCH a busy man with work and paramedic school, but he made the time transform the room into a stunning nursery for our little girl to come home to. I wanted NO PINK in Addison's room :) We did pink in McK's nursery and now in her big girl room and it's just lovely...BUT...I'm OVER pink for a bit :) Not to say that sweet Addi won't be dressed in pink, but I wanted to go a different route with her room! So we ended up with ladybugs!!!

I'm SO pleased with how it all worked out! Babies R Us discontinued the bedding line that I chose so I had to kinda piece it together through different websites and ebay. I ended up combining 2 different beddings from the same designer so mix and match all the colors I wanted. So thus we have a precious red, white, black, and green ladybug room for our Addi-bug to enjoy :o) I still haven't hung everything on the walls, but we are getting there...

We got to see our little one last week with our 32 week ultrasound. For some reason it was harder for me to see the images of Addison this time. I had to ask the technician to point out all that I was supposed to be looking at. I'm thinking it was harder for me because I was still expecting to see a full length/figured baby on the screen...not just pictures of her face! She's getting so big that's all that filled the screen...her eyes, nose, mouth, and CHEEKS!!!!! She is definitely fluffier than her big sister! The technician says Addi is weighing about 4.8lbs, has meat on her thighs and has some HAIR!!! How fun is that?! I'm seeing red curls in our future :) The other thing she had to point out was that our Princess is bottom down, head up...in the breech position :( This called for another ultrasound in 4 weeks to check her positioning. We are hoping Addison turns on her own, but if she doesn't then the doctors will try and physically turn her. This only works about 50% of the time, so if she does not flip then we will look into having a c-section.

I'm feeling confident in the Lord's timing and however He sees fit to bring this baby into the world is fine with me. I'll be ready to know her positioning and more answers March 11th, but am just trusting that Addison's Heavenly Father knows best and her Mommy does not :o)

We still have quite a bit to do in order to be "ready" for this little girl...better get crackin'!

Addison - your daddy filled this room with his love for you looooong before you got here!

Still need to hang some items on the wall!

Hung the comforter over the changing table and am hoping to have a canvas with her name painted on it to hang over the crib!

oh, the room is just PRECIOUS!! I love the ladybugs!! I know you are anxious about her position, but you definitely have the right attitude--you and Baby Addison will be in our prayers and we look forward to hearing the outcome of your next ultrasound, hugs!
