Meeting Miss Ava!

Earlier this month we made a long awaited trip up to Atlanta to meet the newest member of our family, Miss Ava Christine Overton! She was born before Christmas, and we had been dying to see her! She was worth the wait...beautiful, precious, and oh-so-sweet!!!

McKenna just loved her! It gave me GREAT hope that she will also adore her little sister when the time comes. McKenna was gentle and loving. She wanted to help feed her and give her kisses...and then she'd be off and ready to do her own thing with her cousin Eli!

Dave's folks drove in from Cleveland and met us at Mary and Will's. It was wonderful to be together with family...it always is! We got to stay several nights with the Overtons and enjoyed a night with Dave's Uncle Joe and Aunt Dorothy. It was awesome catching up with everyone!

Joe and Dorothy are volunteers at the Aquarium in downtown Atlanta and got us some passes to enjoy a morning there. It was awesome! McKenna LOVED seeing all the fish and of course the highlight of the morning was "Nemo!"

A visit to Atlanta would not have been complete without lunch at The Varsity! We ate there after the Aquarium with Grandma and Papaw! It was their first time and boy was it an experience for them :) It never disappoints!

We also enjoyed being outside, playing in the back yard, eating at a Japanese Steakhouse, and the guys went to the driving range for some male bonding :) Thanks for showing us a grand 'ol time Overtons! We sure do love our sweet Ava and are thankful she is here, healthy, and growing strong!

Thanks again to Joe and Dorothy for the passes to the Aquarium!! It was great!!

So much to see! They were mesmerized! They loved the scuba diver that was cleaning the glass of the tank! He would wave at them and give them high-fives!

Aunt Dorothy knew all sorts of fun facts about the fish! And of course...NEMO!!!

The Varsity!

The kids played really well together! I'm so thankful that Eli and McKenna are close in age and that our next 2 will be close in age! Super fun times ahead for this batch of wild-n-crazy guys!
