Dave's parents drove down to help us with the move...and boy were we thankful! They got in on Sunday and we got to keep them until Thursday morning. We put them to work!!! Dave's dad helped him paint the outside of the "old" house and Dave's mom cleaned her little heart out! We appreciated them giving up their time and energy to come and help us. We did get a chance to play too of course...we're not THAT mean :o) We were so glad to have them as our first out of town guests!! Thanks Jerry and Judy for loving us and celebrating our new home with us. We love you and miss you already!
Gran, Papaw, and McKenna fed the ducks each day from our new back porch!
Enjoying the pool and the sun at our neighborhood pool! McKenna loved to "chase" her shadow!
Papaw was talking to McK, trying to get her to say "cheeeese!"
Well, our little girl decided to take her first steps today!!! She has been working on mustering up the courage to walk for a while and today was the day! She gets SO EXCITED (and so do we) that she can hardly keep going... Dave's parents (Papaw and Gran) got to witness the 'first', and we were so thankful that Dave was home off of work too! Today is also Uncle Kevin and Uncle Keith's birthdays (my brothers)...so this was a fun way for McKenna to give them a happy birthday present :o) I'm sure we will have MANY more "walking adventures" to share in the coming days as she gets better and better.
McKenna and I got to go to the beach with some of our favorite friends this week. We have a very special spot reserved for the Kirton family and always enjoy time with them. Kim and I just chilled and chatted while Kelsea, Korbin, and Kaileigh watched out for McK. McK loves the Kirtons as well and wishes to be a big kid just like them!
Thanks for a fun afternoon Kirtons! McKenna thinkin' she's all grown up, hanging with the big kids!
Kelsea is SUCH a great help!........McKenna and her new beach chair (thanks Ms. Joy!) McKenna sat in her new chair and enjoyed her snacks at the beach (thus the reason for leftovers on her face)
Kelsea and McKenna...such good buddies! Thanks for playing with McK Kels! You ROCK!
Dave and I were married on July 9, 2005 here in FL where we have made our home. Dave is employed with the Fire Department. I finished up my 3rd year of teaching 3rd grade and am able to stay home with our first baby who was born June 2008! We are very excited about all of the new changes in our life together. We are also excited to be able to share these new adventures through this blog site. We feel very blessed by our family and friends and are thankful for all of the blessings the Lord has seen fit to give us!
