Sittin' and Readin'

Have I mentioned lately that I just love this little girl?! I caught her in her playroom the other day and had to interrupt... She had set her baby in this rocker, grabbed a book and then set herself down in the rocker beside her baby. She opened her book (which was a book about firefighters...and it was upside down) and started to read so sweetly to her baby. I just LOVE how she is picking up little "adult" like actions and habits. She is really starting to imitate what we do around here...guess that means we REALLY need to be on our best behavior. She's such a treat and a pure joy to be around! Also, please notice her sweet, little, pink crocks...sadly they are already too small :o(

Cousin Eli's Visit

Dave's sister, Mary, and our sweet nephew Eli came to visit us from GA for a long weekend. It was so much fun having them. We didn't do a whole lot of different activities this trip, but just enjoyed our time together. The kids played so sweetly together. It did my heart some good to see McKenna play with her cousin. It makes me look forward to more family time in the future with all the holidays coming up. Thank you for making the trip out here Overtons! We missed having Will, but look forward to celebrating Eli's first birthday in October. Love you guys!

Our girl gave us more of a "walking tease" this afternoon! She is the most cautious, careful child I think I've EVER seen. She has REFUSED to walk on her own, unassisted! Today she showed us that she CAN do it when she CHOOSES to :o) She's still wabbles quite a bit, but sooner than later we hope that she'll get the hang of it and be less fearful!

PS. Please excuse the nakedness...Sundays are just that way :o) Also...we had just come back from blowing bubbles out on the back porch (hence the matted hair) :o) My baby is NOT a redneck! LOL!

Labor Day weekend with K & H!

Special Gift...

Pop & Gigi sent a special gift along with Uncle Keith and Aunt Hannah. McKenna absolutely adores her new baby. She really drinks her bottle and wets her diaper. You squeeze her wrist and she coos, giggles, and babbles. McKenna is mesmerized! Thanks Pop & Gigi for the fun gift!
